Good morning
Guys and Gals,
Well
it finally looks like this season is getting going. A little bit of
squid showed up last week and within a few days there was good
catches along the coast and the island for yellowtail, seabass,
calico bass and halibut. Sportboats from Newport and the LA Harbor
area had scores of up to fifity yellowtail (10 lb average) yesterday
at Catalina and the half day boat Monte Carlo had six yellows
locally yesterday as well with great bass fishing to go with it.
As far as bait.......the San Pedro barge has plenty of live squid for
this week, as well as anchovies and sardines. Newport just ran out of
squid yesterday, but has plenty or cured sardines and anchovies. If
all goes as planned, both barges will get fresh batches of squid for
the weekend.
Both barges are open 24/7 for the season and can be reached at the
following numbers.....or just come on by
Newport
310-461-5370
San Pedro

Good luck and
good fishign to all!!
